Eating is one of our most sensory-rich experiences as humans, which can make it an activity that is very overstimulating for individuals on the autism spectrum and cause extreme picky eating. Many of the “conventional” picky eating tactics do not account for neurodiversity or sensory needs, making them unfit (and even sometimes harmful) to the autism community. Join us in exploring picky eating for autism and how to approach expanding the diet from a perspective to build a positive relationship with food and working with the individual’s sensory needs, not against them. This meeting will be held in the TACA Connect app. Please see your email for log-in instructions.
